Orville Eugene Bare

    BLUFF CITY – Orville Eugene Bare, 92 of Bluff City, TN went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, December 4, 2019 in his home. He was born in Williamson, WV and was the son of the late Hagey and Nola Brunty Bare. Orville was the best dad and father in law a kid could have. He was straight forward with a good sense of humor and a quick witt. He is remembered as hard working, accepting with a giving nature. He served as a WWII veteran in the Navy. He worked as a pipe fitter for Smith Mechanical and was the first ever seventy year membership and oldest living member of the pipe fitting union local chapter 538. He enjoyed fishing, family, reading and debating the bible. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Betty Sue Bare; son, Jerry Bare; daughter, Betty Jean Bare; and sister, Athalene Massengill. Those left to cherish his memory include son James Bare (Angel) of Bluff City; daughters, Brittany Bare of Bluff City; Crystal Bare of Bluff City; Janice Woods (Kenneth) of Fall Branch; and Wanda Bare of Bluff City. He had 13 grandchildren, 21 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A service to honor the life of Orville Eugene Bare will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2019 at Tetrick Bluff City Chapel with Reverend Bawgus officiating. The family will receive friends Tetrick Bluff City from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2019 prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Morrell Cemetery with Carter County Honor Guard providing Military honors. The family would like to especially thank Hershal Scalf, Gary Dula, Shannon Ryder and Evalou Hall for the care and support during this difficult time.
