Donna Sims

JOHNSON CITY – Donna Sims, 88, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Sims was a native of Indiana, and a daughter of the late Edward C. and Gladys D. Arbuckle Auerswald. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love, and the beauty and peace that would await her on passing. Mrs. Sims was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church, and a former member of First Christian Church, where her late husband, Dr. Ralph Sims, served as Senior Minister for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Ralph Sims, in 2007, her son, Pete Sims, in 2018, and three siblings. Mrs. Sims is survived by her daughter, Sue Seaver and husband Greg; grandchildren, Justin Keebler, Brianna Keebler and her fiancé Wyatt Breeding, Caleb Sims; several nieces and nephews. A private service for the family was held on Monday, August 5, 2019, in Washington County Memory Gardens.
