Beloved Nashville restaurant is set to expand
Arnold’s Country Kitchen, the restaurant known for its Southern comfort food, is opening a second location in North Nashville. It is slated to open in early spring 2025. Arnold’s Country Kitchen has been a Nashville staple for the last 40 years.
The restaurant will be located off Buchanan Street on Cephas Street. Expanding has been a longtime dream for owner Kahlil Arnold. Unlike the original cafeteria-style setup in The Gulch, the North Nashville location will feature a sit-down dining experience and a drive-thru.
While the meats and vegetables that Arnold’s is known for will still be available, the cooks plan to reimagine the classics.
The Arnold’s 8th Ave S restaurant closed last year to sell the property but the sale didn’t take place and it re-opened in January with new hours.
Arnold’s Country Kitchen was opened by Jack and Rose Arnold in 1982. The restaurant has been written up in publications such as Garden & Gun, Maxim, Southern Living, SAVEUR and Bon Apetit. It has featured on shows like Diners, Drive in, and Dives.
Arnold’s Country Kitchen was awarded a prestigious James Beard American Classics Award in 2009.
Arnold’s is a ‘mom and pop’ family business. Food is made fresh daily from scratch just like your grandma’s Gulch. On any given day you can bet you’ll find at least three of us Arnolds here cooking and serving the folks.
