Anne Rennyson Hickerson Doyle

JOHNSON CITY – Anne Rennyson Hickerson Doyle, 75, Johnson City, died at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born in Atlanta, the only child of the late Robert L. and Ethel Rennyson Hickerson, the family returned to New Orleans after WWII where Anne lived most of her life. She graduated from high school at St. Martin’s Episcopal in Metairie, LA an attended Newcomb Collage in New Orleans for 2 years. Anne married her beloved, Mike in 1965 and raised 3 children. In 2002, she retired from the New Orleans Fire Dept. as a Senior Dispatcher with 17 years of service. After Mike’s retirement in 2204, they relocated to the beautiful mountains of Johnson City, TN. Her wonderful, dedicated husband, J. Michael Doyle, of 54 years has survived her as well as her children: Rob Doyle and wife Stacey, Chris Doyle and wife Juli, and Kathy Choina and husband Mark. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Anthonly, A.J., Mikayla, and Nathan Doyle and Andrew and Matthew Choina. A ceremonial mass will be conducted at 2:00pm Monday, November 23, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy O’Toole officiating.
