Former AllianceBernstein exec Jim Gingrich suspends mayoral campaign

Jim Gingrich cited several factors for suspending his campaign in a statement that lands three days after early voting began in Davidson County. He is among a dozen people who qualified to be listed on the ballot to succeed Mayor John Cooper, who is not seeking re-election.
