State takeover of Nashville International Airport board wins final approval in General Assembly votes

    The bill takes what has been an exclusively Metro decision for more than 50 years and gives Tennessee’s highest-ranking politicians the power to name most of the board members for the Metro Nashville Airport Authority. That new board could be in place as early as July.
